Install your Nawame skill.
This skill teaches your AI how to use Nawame. It connects nothing and gives access to no data: it simply explains to your assistant how to use your memory. Installing it takes a minute.
Good to know. Interfaces and menu labels vary from one client to another and change quickly; the steps below may differ slightly. This skill guides your AI, it connects nothing and gives access to no data.
Pick your platform.
Find the one you use and follow the steps. The file to install is always the same: SKILL.md, the one you downloaded above.

Mistral (Le Chat)
Desktop and web
Le Chat has no skill upload like Claude or ChatGPT. The equivalent path: add Nawame as a custom MCP connector, then paste the skill content into a custom agent.
- 1In the menu, open Intelligence, then Connectors.
- 2Click + Add Connector and switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- 3Give it a name (no spaces or special characters), paste the server address https://hub.nawame.eu/api/mcp, then click Connect. Authentication is detected automatically; follow it if prompted.
- 4Open a conversation and say "activate Nawame". You can also paste the skill content (downloaded above) into the instructions of a custom agent.
MCP support in Le Chat is evolving quickly: if your client does not yet offer the custom connector, simply paste the skill content as a system instruction or into a custom agent.
Claude Code, Cursor and other coding agents
Development agents
- 1Open the local repository where you want to use the skill.
- 2Attach the SKILL.md file and ask your agent: "Read this Nawame skill and add it to the repository in your skills format, keeping the starting phrases. Preserve the repository's existing instructions and avoid duplicates, and tell me where you saved it."
- 3Once the agent confirms, try a starting phrase.
Other assistants (file attachments)
Any assistant that accepts a file
Your assistant has no skill upload and no MCP connector? If it accepts an attached file or custom instructions, it can still follow the skill.
- 1Attach the SKILL.md file to the conversation, or paste its content into the assistant's custom instructions.
- 2Ask it: "Follow this Nawame skill and keep its starting phrases."
- 3Try a starting phrase. The skill guides the assistant; it connects nothing.
Connect Nawame, once.
The skill explains to your AI how to use Nawame. For it to actually read and write your memory, you also need to connect the connector, once and for all.
- 1Connect the Nawame MCP connector. Address https://hub.nawame.eu/api/mcp, over streamable HTTP, not STDIO. Without an account, you are sent to hub.nawame.eu: you enter your email, you receive a six-digit code, you type it in, your account is created. No password.
- 2Start Nawame. Then, in your conversation, say "activate Nawame" to begin.
Today, the MCP connector mainly works on desktop clients.
